She helped him be sure the egg was wrapped up nice and snug for its trip home, and she was looking forward to watching Bryar raise the Treecko after it hatched.

Damn, Kris had a lot of Pokemon.

Raphael supposed he shouldn't be surprised at all, not with what he knew of Kris and from being on the original Gaia Island with her. He just forgot the sheer number of Pokemon under her care.

And all three of the current eggs available would fit in just fine on his ranch, but he would restrain himself to just get one of the eggs today. Still gazing at the eggs and readjusting his newly acquired Meditite egg on his back, Raphael said, "Hey, Kris, you around?"

"I'm around!" Kris's voice called out in return. After a few seconds, she emerged from the backroom, a handful of papers in one hand while the other stuck a pencil behind her ear. Grinning to her friend, she asked, "What's up--Is that an egg?"

She caught sight of the pack's straps and had no qualms about abandoning her paperwork on the counter to come around and coo at the egg hanging on Raphael's back.

Once she was done admiring the egg, figuring that it came from Morgan's ranch, Kris asked, "What can I help you with, Raph?"

Raphael chuckled to himself as Kris appeared and promptly started cooing over his egg. "Yeah. Meditite egg. Just got it from Morgan's stall," he said.

"I'm also going to punish myself and try having two eggs at once," he said. "Was hoping I could take the Vulpix egg off your hands?"

"I'm sure it'll hatch into a great Pokemon," Kris said.

Raphael then asked about the Vulpix egg and she grinned. "Punish yourself? Really? That's how you're describing it?" She laughed lightly. "I do know you've handled plenty of Pokemon eggs before.

"But, yeah, you can absolutely have the Vulpix egg," she continued. "It's $750."

"Maybe so," Raphael drawled when Kris mentioned that he had handled Pokemon eggs before, "but I had backup a little closer than the next ranch away."

Still, he knew he'd be fine and that the other ranchers were a call away if he was really desperate. It's why he didn't hesitate to take out his wallet and complete the transaction.

"Thanks, Kris," Raphael said, getting the Vulpix egg snuck in the front sling. He felt a little ridiculous having an egg both on his back and his chest, but they were the safest places for said eggs. "See ya around."

The next few minutes were all business as Kris helped Raphael strap in the Vulpix egg. She tried to hide her smile at seeing her friend carrying two eggs simultaneously but knew he would be just fine.
