Gaia Ranch is a ranch that raises and shelters Pokemon of all types, with plenty of variety when it comes to breeding services and goods for sale. Her Pokemon available for breeding are listed down below in the chart. If there are any questions, feel free to ask Kris!

Goods and eggs are priced accordingly. The eggs are generally priced by rarity class of the species ($300 for Common, $550 for Uncommon, $800 for Rare), but eggs may be more expensive depending on predicted egg moves, abilities, or even Shiny state.

Flat fees of stud services range depending on the rarity class of the stud -- species classified as Common are $1000, Uncommon are $1500, and Rare are $2000. The eggs will remain with the trainer of the mother Pokemon. If Kristen is promised an egg from the clutch, she will lower the stud prices by $500.

If the contracting trainer of the mother Pokemon does not have the room or wish for the leftover eggs, Kristen may buy them back for $200 an egg if the trainer does not have another home in mind for them (the adoption center, a trade with another trainer, a gift for someone, etc.).

If the mother Pokemon comes from Kris's ranch, then the fee for breeding is $500 for first pick of any egg from the clutch. Any additional eggs will be regularly priced.

If the contracting trainer wishes to petition for an egg from two of Kris's Pokemon, the breeding fee is $750 for first pick of any egg from the clutch. Any additional eggs will be regularly priced.

He quite liked getting these assignments. While he wouldn't trade his job at Greenberry Labs for anything, John didn't mind at all when Professor Cypress asked him to take a trip to Gaia Island and see how everyone was doing.

If he came back with an egg or two for new trainers, then even better.

His main stop was Gaia Ranch's shop, both to check in with Ms. Parker regarding the island itself and to see what she had for sale. He wasn't surprised at all to see a couple of eggs staying just warm enough to keep them healthy in the incubator, but not so warm that they would hatch without anyone around.

At least one of the eggs would be going back to Greenberry Town with him, and John waited until the rancher of the place appeared.

"Mr. Cordue, good morning." Kristen emerged from the backroom after hearing that someone had entered the shop. It wasn't too unusual to see Professor Cypress or her assistant around the island once in a while, although they both had no problem letting Kristen, Kurt, and the other few ranchers on the island take charge.

At the moment, Kristen usually only saw either the professor or Mr. Cordue when they were talking about Pokemon eggs.

Kristen leaned against the counter, smiling at the assistant. "What can I do for you today?"

"Ah, good morning, Ms. Parker!" John gave the young woman a small bow and a smile, greeting her with his usual exuberance.

"I was actually curious about the pair of Ralts eggs you have there," he said, gesturing to the incubator. "If they're unspoken for, I think I'll take one of them off your hands. Perhaps that one?" He pointed to the second egg at random.

Kristen grinned at the enthusiasm that Professor Cypress's assistant always showed. He didn't waste much time, finding interest in the two Ralts eggs before picking one out.

"Perfect," Kristen said. "I'm sure my Gardevoir and Gallade will be delighted that one of their eggs will be going to a beginning trainer. It's $800, please." Kristen began wrapping the egg up for transportation, hoping that its sibling would be able to find a good home as well.

"Wonderful!" John said, digging into his wallet for the shopping allowance the professor had given him. It was a great price if one considered what powerful Pokemon the little egg had for parents. He was sure the Ralts would be a fantastic starter for someone for either of Ascua's challenges.

"I'm off to see what else I can find," John said, thanking Kristen once again. "The professor said I should take my time, and I fully intend to, haha! Have a good day, Ms. Parker!"

"Careful..." Kristen helped the professor's assistant get the Ralts egg all snug and ready for travel. Once John seemed all set, she gave him another smile.

"Safe travels," Kristen said, "and I hope your day goes well too! Thanks again!"

He was a bit overwhelmed, admittedly, at the list of Pokemon that the main rancher of Gaia Island had to offer for breeding services.

Tomas was looking for a good species that he could consider as graceful, something that could exhibit both beauty and power in the contest ring. He noticed the Ralts egg and figured that could be a good contender but his eyes kept drifting to the rest of the list.

A Flying-type may not be bad. It'd be versatile, able to perform feats in the air. A Talonflame wouldn't be a bad choice, or even a Swoobat with how charming they could be. A Gyarados or Kingdra would be majestic as well, but they'd take a good amount of training before properly being able to show off in the ring. Perhaps one of the canine-like Pokemon...

Tomas took a deep breath, trying to make up his mind before the rancher appeared.

Kris appeared at the front of her shop within a moment of Tomas entering. She gave her customer a friendly smile and said, "How are you? Anything I can help you with?"

He seemed a bit young, not a child, but also a little overwhelmed. Kris hoped he wasn't lost or anything. She figured he was looking for an option to add to his Pokemon team, if he had any already.

Tomas vowed to pick the first Pokemon that came to mind as soon as the shop owner appeared, trying to narrow his choices down to species that he believed would look the most majestic in a contest ring.

Nevertheless, he still seemed flustered when the rancher appeared.

"Uh, hi," he said eloquently. Clearing his throat, he continued with, "I'm Tomas Morton, an aspiring coordinator. I was hoping to buy an egg from your shop by petitioning a clutch from a couple of your Pokemon."

He took one last look at the list and said, "I'm hoping for a Vulpix." He at least sounded confident. "Is, uh, that okay?"

Kristen smiled and said, "Pleasure to meet you, Tomas. I'm Kristen Parker. I'm honored you chose my Pokemon to start your journey."

She double-checked her lists, figured that Roxie would do well with a clutch. The question was to figure out who Roxie would get along with well enough to have said clutch. She got along well with Wally, Pascal was a great teammate when they all were traveling through Kanto, and Duke's personality matched well with Roxie's. Perhaps Kris would let Roxie pick who would sire her clutch.

"For two of my Pokemon to breed, the fee is $750," Kris said. "You'll get the first pick of an egg from the clutch, but any others you may want will be full price. Do we have a deal?"

Tomas nodded along, saying a, "Pleasure to meet you, too," after Kristen introduced herself. He was curious about her impressive list of Pokemon but she probably figured he was more so there for business and got right down to it.

Digging out his money, Tomas said, "We absolutely have a deal," giving her a smile and the payment. "Thank you," he added.

"Wonderful!" Kristen received the payment and put in whatever details she needed from Tomas for the clutch. "I'll call and let you know when the clutch is available for you to pick your egg, shall I?"

She bid goodbye to Tomas for now and got to work.

It had been a hot minute since John had visited Gaia Island, and he was more than eager to see what the ranches of the island had been up to since then.

As such, John was delighted to be back on the island and took his time in perusing the list of available Pokemon and eggs from Gaia Ranch itself. Professor Cypress wanted a healthy amount of available starter Pokemon for new trainers, and John would take that to heart. He'd probably purchase an egg or two and maybe inquire about a couple of Kris's Pokemon matching together for another few eggs.

Kris was setting up to go on a spelunking adventure to the White Tops, just to see what she could find around the mountains, amid her shop hours. At the very least, it killed some time during the slower hours of the day.

At some point, John Cordue came into the shop and Kristen greeted the professor's assistant with a smile. "Hello, Mr. Cordue! How are you? To what do I owe the pleasure today?"
