Description: Kristen is a bit on the short side, with hard muscles evident in her arms and legs from traveling all over most of the known regions. Her dark brown hair, the color matching her eyes, is often down or in a high ponytail. Her clothes are comfortable and easy to move in, generally in green, red, or black shades. She often wears a denim jacket with inside pockets to hold her Pokemon's pokeballs.
Personality: Generally, Kris is easy-going and laid-back, having the patience to deal with almost anything that has to do with stress. She has a level head and a steely determination to get through any problem. She's a bit of a geek -- many of her Pokemon are named after some favorite video game and/or comic book characters of hers. She does well when working with electronics, such as the Pokedex or the Pokemon Storage System, and is very knowledgeable when it comes to Pokemon. Unfortunately, she has no sense of direction, but is very adventurous, often not minding getting lost. She's happy to lend a hand to anyone and loves to dish out advice, especially about battling or breeding.
History: As soon as she had been able to gain her Pokemon license, Kristen started off on her journey with a Treecko she had dubbed Trek in honor of the adventures that had awaited them. They built up a team together and had earned all eight badges in the Hoenn Pokemon League before entering its Hall of Fame. She then explored the other known regions, adding to her team of Pokemon and gaining more badges and joining a few other Hall of Fames after competing in the regions' Pokemon Leagues as she furthered her career as a battler.
Kristen spent many years around the regions, making contacts and friends, until she decided to settle down and open her own ranch for raising her Pokemon. She founded a ranch in the Sinnoh region, right off of Solaceon Town, and opened it up to other ranchers who shared her dream of rescuing and raising healthy, happy Pokemon. Friends came and went and, eventually, Kristen decided to move her ranch to bigger lands. This opportunity presented itself when Professor Birch put her in contact with Professor Nia Cypress of the Ascua Region.
Professor Cypress detailed that the Ascua Region -- a land that was settled within the last century or so with people and Pokemon from all over the world -- had recently set up its own league, and the knowledge and skills that Kristen and her fellow ranchers could provide would be wonderful. With her earnings from battles and the Hall of Fames, Kristen found an island that had plenty of room for all of her Pokemon and more right on the outskirts of one of Ascua's water routes. While most of her fellow ranchers from Solaceon Town opted to also move on from that ranch, Kristen made sure that they -- and any other new ranchers -- knew they would always be welcome on Gaia Island.
Goals & Mod Permissions: Once upon a time, Kristen was interested in being one of the best battlers in the competitive world. While battling is still an important aspect of her career, she is currently focused on breeding, raising, and rehabilitating Pokemon to the best of her ability. Mods may use her Pokemon team lightly as NPCs, if needed.
Starting Position: Advanced Rancher and Mayor
Other: Kristen is on good terms with the professors of the known regions, mostly Hoenn's Professor Birch and Ascua's Professor Cypress. She's interested in learning more about the people of Ascua while always trying to be available to the ranchers and visitors of the island. The only regions that she did not enter in the Pokemon League was Alola, having only visited it briefly on a vacation, and Galar, having settled down at Gaia Island before getting the chance.
