"Doing well, thank you, Ms. Parker," John said, tipping his sunhat to the woman.

"I'm in the market today for a couple of extra eggs," he said. "Was thinking of taking one of the Shinx eggs off your hands, and maybe inquire as to whether or not your Grovyle would like to sire a clutch? Think we could use a Grass-type as an option for starter Pokemon. Not sure who the mother would be. Figured I'd let your Grovyle and you sort that out."

Kristen pondered on her Grovyle siring a clutch of eggs. Truth be told, Trek hadn't shown much interest in having eggs, but he probably wouldn't be opposed. Her Ampharos would probably be a better match, but Kris would double-check with both Nike and Neptune to see if either would want to have some eggs.

"That all sounds just fine," Kristen said, totalling up her prices. "Depending on which Shinx egg you were thinking, the total will be $1050 or $1250. Take your pick."

John guessed that the more expensive Shinx egg was a result of predicted egg moves or shiny state, something that new trainers may be delighted by. However, it could also mean the Shinx would be a little more powerful than a new trainer can handle.

"We'll take the $300 egg," John said, taking out the lab's debit card to pay for the transaction. "As always, it's a pleasure doing business with you, Ms. Parker."

"It's a pleasure doing business and seeing you as well, Mr. Cordue," Kris said, finishing the transaction and gathering the paperwork for the clutch. She helped pack up the Shinx egg and hoped it would be going to a great trainer.

"Safe travels back to the lab," she said, "and greet the professor for me, will you?"

Morgan shuffled into Gaia Ranch Shop, glancing around at how much more organized it seemed compared to her little shop. Granted, Kris had been in this ranching business for several years, if Morgan remembered correctly. The two women had only really briefly been introduced since Morgan had joined the island; it had been Kurt who had gotten Morgan set up when she first arrived, after all.

Morgan was proud of herself that she was in the shop for a little business rather than needing any help or being in trouble with her own ranch. She was doing well, if she did say so herself. Still didn't have some supplies that she would like, but Morgan would get to those soon. In the meantime, Morgan figured that she should build her ranch up by supporting some of the other shops.

"Morgan, how are you?" Kris greeted as the young woman came into the shop. She always welcomed the other ranchers in her shop or on her own ranch, should they feel comfortable visiting.

"Is there anything special I can do for you or is this a social call?" Kristen asked, giving Morgan a smile.

Truthfully, Kris wouldn't mind either one. It was a nice day and Kris had contemplated figuring out an early time to close up shop so she can enjoy the sunlight with her Pokemon before nightfall.

In the brief time that Morgan had met Kris, Kris had seemed to be a friendly, warm woman. Morgan couldn't help but return Kristen's smile and relax a bit, even if Morgan did need an extra moment to mentally prepare what she wanted to say.

"While I wouldn't mind hanging out with you socially," Morgan said, "I was actually interested in the Ralts egg. I was hoping it was still for sale?"

It was still in the case, keeping the egg warm enough to stay healthy, at the very least. Morgan was sure, with the prowess of Kris's Pokemon, that the little Ralts would be strong. Morgan hoped she would be up for the challenge of raising it.

Morgan mentioned the business that she was at the shop for, but also mentioned visiting Kris socially. "We should definitely plan something," Kris said, even as she moved to retrieve the Ralts egg from the case. "Perhaps an afternoon somewhere around the island, like the mountains."

The mountains would be closer for Morgan and Kris really enjoyed the view. It sounded like a win-win.

"As for the little Ralts egg, it's all yours," Kris said. "The price is $800, and I'm sure Leo and Mona will love the fact that one of their eggs is sticking around on the island."

Kris was receptive to Morgan buying the Ralts egg, and Morgan couldn't help but feel pleased with that. Imagine that she was being trusted with an egg from a couple of Kristen's probably strongest Pokemon made her both a little nervous and proud.

"Thank you," Morgan said, completing the transaction. "And, yes, we'll definitely have to take the time to get together. Perhaps after this little Ralts has hatched it can join us."

"That would be wonderful," Kris said when Morgan mentioned that her Ralts could join in whenever it hatched. "Leo and Mona would be delighted in family gatherings."

Vaugely, Kristen wondered how the other Ralts egg was doing. According to Professor Cypress, the Ralts had been claimed by a young man on the gym challenge, and Kris wished him and his Ralts the best. Perhaps they'd all meet one day.

"Let me know if you need anything else, Morgan," Kris said, opting to focus on the present for now.

He didn't have too much spare cash, but Bryar already knew of a couple of eggs he wanted to buy from his fellow ranchers when he had window-shopped from earlier in the week. One such egg was from Gaia Ranch, and he figured there was no time like the present to see if it was still available.

Bryar called out a casual, "Hello?" when he walked into Kris's shop. He was delighted to see that the egg was still on display and hoped that no one else had reserved it yet. As such, he waited patiently by the egg display for Kris.

"What's up, Bryar?" Kris came out from the back upon hearing her friend's voice, and she gave Bryar a warm smile.

Leaning against the counter on her side, Kris asked, "How's everything going? Do you need anything or is this more of a social visit?"

She did notice Bryar eying the eggs on display and had a pretty good guess as to which egg he would ask about, if that was why he was in her shop. Of course, if this was a social visit, she wouldn't complain.

"Everything is going great," Bryar said, greeting the young woman as she appeared. Of course, if all went well, his wallet would take a good hit after this encounter, but he knew it would be worth it.

"This is more business than social, I'm afraid," he said. "I was actually really hoping that no one has asked for that Treecko egg. If it's still available, I would like to buy it."

"No worries about this visit being mainly business," Kris said. "I'm happy to do business with you.

"The Treecko egg is definitely still for sale," she continued. "It's $950, if you'd still like it."

She was sure the price -- which was on the egg -- wouldn't deter Bryar. It was also rather exciting that one of Trek's and Nike's children would still be on the island, as well.

"I would love it," Bryar said when Kris asked if he would still like the Treecko egg. Coming from Kris's Pokemon, he knew it would be one healthy and strong Pokemon, a perfect addition to his ranch.

He paid Kris for the egg and carefully wrapped up the egg with practiced hands for its trip home. "Thank you again, Kris. I'll see you later!"
