Raphael glared off to the side at his more rambunctious Pokemon. "Bandit, Nash! If you two break the house before we even get settled, you're both going to spend eternity in your pokeballs!"
The threat did nothing to stop the Krookodile and Simisage tackling each other and rolling around the perimeter. Raphael sighed as the pair just missed the mailbox. He turned his glare to Violet, the Seviper seemingly chuckling at either her teammates or at Raphael for not being able to scold the two into stopping their antics.
"Don't help, Violet, it's okay," Raphael grumbled, to which the Seviper hissed and stuck her tongue out. Dixie, at least, attempted to help and chased after the two rolling Pokemon until the three turned the corner of the house and disappeared.
Raphael turned around to continue repairing the fence around the perimeter of his land, Cooper right next to him with his own hammer to help. Rio was supposed to do the same, but Raphael had no idea where the Floatzel went. Probably wandered off to the small stream that snaked its way near the back of the ranch. Raphael wasn't too worried.
He winced when he heard a crash from around the house. His Charizard glanced up at the sound before returning to the fence. Raphael took that as a cue to not worry about that either. Pokemon Happiness: Cooper - Max, Dixie - Max, Bandit - Max, Rio - Max, Nash - Max, Violet - Max Notes: Private thread for character development. This particular post takes place after Put Down Roots.

The three new Pokemon from the Safari Zone had wildly different opinions about being on his ranch.
The Eevee seemed downright enthusiastic about being in a new place. Dubbed Spyro, Raphael was planning on getting a Fire Stone for him soon enough to evolve him into Flareon. At this point, Spyro was bouncing around the ranch, exploring everything and getting Dixie involved in said exploration. The Raichu had no problem sharing the Eevee's enthusiasm in dashing about the ranch, and Raphael was glad that both Dixie and Spyro had someone to share their energy with.
The Jangmo-o -- and wasn't that a mouthful? -- that Raphael was calling Rocco was the opposite of Spyro. Rocco seemed wholly unimpressed with his new surroundings and nearly got into a fight with Nash almost as soon as Nash so much as glanced out of curiosity at the newcomer. When Raphael made sure everyone was calmed down, Rocco huffed and marched off to the edge of the ranchlands. He didn't try to leave but instead chose to sulk.
And Scout... Well, the Raboot didn't seem to have much of an opinion about anything at all. Instead, he stood in the same spot where Raphael had released him from his pokeball and merely gazed around. It was about an hour before Scout actually moved from his spot to saunter over to the barn itself, where Raphael found him laying claim to a sleeping spot and deciding to snooze.
Raphael took a deep breath and left his Pokemon to their own devices on the ranch. He went into his house for a needed break and to make some sort of shopping list. More female Pokemon to help balance his ranch's gender ratio would be ideal, but he should also invest in some cooking gear for medicines... apricorns for pokeballs...
Instead of dwelling on how thin his wallet would be, Raphael grabbed a beer and got to work. Notes: Takes place after Start the Game.
