I typically do not do "insta-relationships," where everything is already laid out before we role-play. Instead, please post plot or thread ideas while suggesting your characters for certain positions!

For acquaintances testing it out, this section will include folks that August probably just passes by or sees once in a while. People that he may nod and wave to in a simple greeting, someone he would say, "Good luck," to if they were also taking on the gym challenge. People under this list could have the potential to being a better friend, a stubborn rival, or may simply stay in the neutral zone of acquaintanceship.

For friends and lovers, this section will include folks that can either stand August or August can stand them. In general, August can be a pretty easy going guy. He tends to go with the flow more often than not and helps folks out if they need a hand -- if the world needed saving, August would be the type of protagonist who would be like, "Well, no one else is going to clean up this shit, guess I gotta do it," instead of an enthusiastic hero. He's not the worst guy to get along with and may need someone to help keep him grounded and figure out that there's more to life than risking it all for money.

For enemies and rivals, this section will include folks that either find August's aloofness or recklessness too unbecoming, depending on which side of August the person has come to known. For all his distance with his fellow man, August does prefer the right side of the law as well and may come to odds with folks who don't agree. Fellow gym challengers who take the challenge a bit too seriously or those who can't stand August's gambling habit may also find themselves under this section.

Hello, hello, friend!

... I have no idea how Sadie and August would get along. I think Sadie takes being a gym challenger too seriously and August takes it too lightly. It'd be an interesting dynamic, and I can imagine Sadie getting annoyed with August's apathy and he would secretly enjoy riling her up with said apathy, .

Considering they're both on the gym challenger path, I imagine they'll meet up at some point in Ascua. Even if they don't actively travel together, there could be plenty of potential rival battles to keep each other on their toes. Thoughts?

I think the dynamic you described would be spot-on! Of course, our characters could totally surprise us depending on how they want to be written. xD

I honestly think they would have this annoying brother and sister type of relationship, but who knows? Down the line, deeper feelings could be had. They're similar in age, their sexualities line up, and August may enjoy ruffling Sadie's feathers a little too much. Sadie may enjoy the challenge that August provides.

It'll be fun! August is heading towards the Greenberry Woods soon, and I know Sadie is hanging around on Gaia Island. If August is still in the Greenberry Woods training by the time Sadie reaches there, feel free to join in the thread!

Sounds like a good plan! I'm not expecting Sadie's time on Gaia Island to take long, and her Route 1 thread probably won't either. Maybe just a wild Pokemon battle here or there to try to get the egg to hatch, .

I'm not sure how August Spector and Kurt would get along should they meet... Granted, they may end up staying as acquaintances more so than anything else just by the nature of their career paths.

Yet, if the two got to know each other more, Kurt may not know what to think about August's personality combination of aloofness and recklessness. Kurt would be polite, of course, and I don't think either would think of the other as an enemy, but I'm not sure if they would ever reach the friend status, either. We'll see what happens if/when the two ever end up in the same thread.

There may be a little ice between the two, but I do agree that they would at least be polite to each other.

They'd be able to take each other in small doses, methinks. Rather, Kurt would feel like he could only take so much of August -- I don't think August will care about what Kurt thinks of him. Kurt is good-natured, but he's also a hard worker. August is only a hard worker if it will really benefit him or if he gets competitive.

I think Kurt's feelings regarding August will also depend on how August treats Kris. I don't know if you saw my post on Kris's plotter, but she may be too nice that August may accidentally or not-so-accidentally take advantage of her kind nature. Nothing really malicious, of course, but I doubt Kurt will be pleased. I'm not sure when/if August will meet both Kris and Kurt (although, I think it will be interesting for August to eventually visit where Roulette came from), but these two men could have an interesting dynamic.

That all sounds pretty spot-on.

I actually hadn't looked at your post on Kris's plotter until now, but, yeah, Kurt would definitely be a little suspicious (jealous? protective?) when it comes to August's actions regarding Kris. I imagine August will eventually be on decent terms with everyone, but it could be some interesting rivalry before then. Looking forward to when they do interact!
