Description: Always being on the move, Kurt has an athletic build, being on the tall side with lean muscles. He tends to dress very comfortably, usually in shorts and t-shirts, sometimes even in winter if he feels daring enough. From his travels and being outdoors, Kurt's a bit tanned and his brown hair has some lighter streaks from the sun. His eyes are simply blue.

Personality: Energetic and eccentric, Kurt is like a big kid. Almost always smiling and laughing, Kurt is the best person to go to when one needs to be cheered up. He is fairly adventurous, but does not take too big of risks if he's with others. He would much rather make sure everyone else stay safe, sometimes making him a bit too cautious, especially in new situations or environments. As such, he's not one for confrontations, but he will defend those he considers his friends to the best of his abilities if need be. He's a very social creature, and loves hanging around with others, be they human or Pokemon.

History: If you ask Kurt, his history is very boring. He's an only child, born to two normal parents in New Bark Town of the Johto region. Both of his parents were fairly average trainers in their days, yet not too ambitious. His mother had gotten five badges with her team of Pokemon, yet when she had lost three battles to the sixth gym leader, she returned home, content with her team and position in the world of Pokemon trainers. His father only got two badges, yet three contest ribbons before going home for a break. Mr. Emerson always told Kurt that he meant to start training again, but then Mr. Emerson had met Kurt's mother, and stayed in New Bark Town with her. Kurt was raised with both of his parents and their Pokemon around, carving out his love of the creatures.

With the good Professor Elm's help, Kurt got his first Pokemon, a Phanpy, and started off on his journey at the age of 12. Kurt was ambitious enough to get farther in the gym challenge than both of his parents. He made it to the Johto Elite Four, but lost in the second challenge. Rather than try to compete again, Kurt took his team of Pokemon and wandered around the other regions for a while. Eventually he bumped into a trainer named Kristen in the Sinnoh region, and the two became friends. When Kristen opened a Pokemon ranch and looked to hire help, Kurt was the first caretaker hired. Many others joined the ranch -- human and Pokemon alike -- and eventually Gaia Ranch became too big for the land. After being contacted by Ascua's Professor Cypress, Kristen made the difficult decision to close Sinnoh's Gaia Ranch and move it to an island in the Ascua Region. While Kristen invited all of the current caretakers to move to Gaia Island as well, it wasn't surprising that the majority of them needed to move on or take a while to think about making such a big move.

Kurt, on the other hand, barely thought about the decision on whether or not to join Kristen at Gaia Island. After hearing the news that Gaia Ranch was closing, Kurt didn't take long to mull on the decision to pack up his bags and sail out to Gaia Island with his best friend. There, he does his best to care for his own ranch while helping Kristen with the island.

Goals/Dreams: Kurt is still trying to find his place in the world, but is aiming to do his best as a Water and Ground Pokemon breeder. Eventually, he would like to find a place to truly feel at home.

Other: Being an avid foodie, Kurt is pretty gifted when it comes to cooking and baking. Considering this, Kurt's Pokemon's nicknames are always food related in some way or another.
