A private thread for solo development posts, one-shots, drabbles, etc., for Kris and her team of Pokemon. It was both too busy and not busy enough.
Kris was used to hard work. In fact, she relished it. Training and growing with her Pokemon during their many years of traveling were some of her most treasured memories.
But so were her years with other people crammed together in one house on the original Gaia Ranch.
No longer was Kris sharing dinner and clean-up duty with other humans. No longer could she count on another to help round up the Pokemon into the barn for the night. No longer could she have a fluent conversation with another without Mona or Leo needing to translate...
"A wild Pelipper is trying to nest a little too close to our land. That's what I'm getting out of this, right?" Kris asked, her gaze glancing back and forth between Mona and Candid. The Gardevoir was doing her best to keep up with the Ninjask's quick speech. Candid, fortunately, bobbed up and down in his way of nodding.
Kris paused before asking, "Is it actually on our land or bothering anyone? If not, it may be fine--"
Candid shook from side to side and buzzed.
"It... soaked Shay," Mona translated, revealing further that their Fearow teammate retaliated with a Drill Peck. The two birds may still be fighting at this moment.
Kris took a deep breath and abandoned her paperwork, already planning on what other Pokemon she would call to help with the squabble as she made her way out the door. Candid led the way and Mona kept pace with Kris.
Flying solo on her own ranch and the island itself kept Kris too busy -- and she would never regret it -- but she wasn't so busy that she didn't miss her human friends and family.

Takes place after Not That Cold. Her research revealed that it had been a cover fossil that she had found in the caverns on the White Tops, supposedly for the Pokemon Tirtouga. An email fired off to Professor Cypress then revealed that there was a museum in Revihs City that may have someone who knew more about fossilized Pokemon. Kristen figured she would take a little trip there.
The quickest route would be to take a boat to Coral Port, then Revihs City would just be beyond one of the routes. Yet, Kris also recently received a young Rockruff. Kris would save some money if she took her Rockruff to Greenberry Town and went through the couple of early routes to help train her up. That, and the nearest Pokemon Center would be Greenberry Woods if she took that way. Vulcan was doing alright from spelunking, but he could do with a nice check-up.
Time, though, would be the main issue. Kristen had no problem traveling for a few days, but she wasn't thrilled with the idea for being away from Gaia Ranch longer than necessary.
Kristen took a deep breath, glancing out the window of her office to see a myriad of her Pokemon milling about. She could take Fang, her Crobat being strong enough to fly back and forth between the island and a few of the farther-out towns, if need be. Kristen could easily travel for a few days, fly back to the island to check on things, then fly back to wherever she left off on the mainland...
Perhaps that's what she'd do. Nani could use some training, and a few others could stretch their limbs with her, like Trek.

Takes place after the post in Falldale Market Stalls.Kris sighed as she landed back at her ranch. She would text -- or, better yet, visit -- Kurt a little later to let him know that she had returned. She hoped that everything went well and that her trip hadn't caused him too much trouble or burnout...
"Thank you, Fang," she said to her Crobat, letting him go off and rest after making the trip back to their ranch from Falldale Town. He was one of her strongest and she had no doubt that he could make the trip, but it was still quite a ride. Trek grumbled, her Grovyle not liking it at all, but he didn't complain too badly. Kris tried not to chuckle, despite the fact that she was sure Trek would be sniggering at her if they had been traveling by boat.
Kris had a few new additions to add to her barn and to help grow. She knew she had some candies and figured that they would be a nice welcome to the family treat for them. She was certain the rest of her Pokemon would be great helps in getting Nani, Canvas, and Scribble all set in their new home.
