Raphael watched as the broken park ball went flying away, and he briefly wondered if part of the park attendants' jobs was to clean up the Safari Zone of the broken devices that no-doubt littered the place.

He brought his gaze back to the Raboot, who hadn't moved from its perch. Slowly, Raphael took a few steps forward, trying not to startle it. When he got a little closer, he threw another park ball at it.

The Raboot still kept an eye on Raphael and, as such, was ready when the trainer threw another park ball. This time, the Raboot simply ducked away, letting the ball go soaring past it into the wild grasses of the Safari Zone.

As Raphael got a little closer to the small plateau, the Raboot walked along the edge of it, looking as if it intended to meet Raphael down at the base of the plateau. Either that, or it was aiming to dash away as soon as it got a clear chance to do so.

"Oh, no, you don't," Raphael muttered as he saw the Raboot start to slowly descend its small plateau. Raphael sped his steps up just a touch, his hand already gripping the next park ball.

Remembering his previous catches, Raphael bent down to grab a handful of sand as well. Moving as quickly as he dared, he got close enough to the wild Pokemon to toss the sand at it, hoping to blind it enough to the next park ball he chucked.

The Raboot, again, saw what Raphael was doing.

With the handful of sand, the Raboot ducked away and then tried to duck away from the park ball that was thrown at it. Unfortunately for the Raboot, the ball hit it in the head and the Pokemon was sucked in.

Unfortunately for Raphael, the Raboot broke free of the device and blew an Ember by Raphael's feet.

"Shit--!"

Raphael sidestepped the Ember attack and tried to snuff out the small flames with his foot, rapidly stomping on the embers to put them out. He tried not to take too much time, worried that the Raboot would try to get away.

His next idea was to grab a rock and threw both the rock and the park ball together at the Pokemon. Ideally, the Raboot would only be able to dodge or kick away one.

The Raboot tilted its head at the language that Raphael used, probably never having heard the exclamation and tone before, and was a little unprepared for both the rock and the ball to be thrown at it.

It ducked away from the rock but went right into the path of the park ball. The ball shook once, twice, three times before ultimately stilling.

Raphael paused, breathing heavily from the adrenaline and exercise from this venture, before going over to pick up the park ball that held his new Raboot.

While he still had a handful of park balls, Raphael figured three Pokemon was good enough for him. He found a park attendant not too far away and declared, "I'm done," before taking a moment to remember to say, "Thank you."

The attendant made small talk with Raphael about his time in the Safari Zone as he escorted Raphael back to the entrance. Raphael was more than ready to make it back to his ranch.
