Highland Fields boasts goods and services from a ranch that primarily serves Fire, Electric, and Rock type Pokemon. Raphael has Pokemon available for stud and breeding services if one is so inclined. He does his best to keep his prices fair, both for goods and for breeding services.

• Egg (and other general goods) prices are listed as such. In general, the rarer the species, the more expensive the egg, yet the price may fluctuate depending on the predicted egg moves and stats of the to-be-hatched Pokemon.
• Stud prices are as follows: $500 for a Common stud, $750 for an Uncommon stud, and $1500 for a Rare stud. The eggs remain with the mother Pokemon. The stud prices can be lowered if Raphael is promised an egg or two from the clutch.
• If the contracting trainer does not have the room or another home in mind for extra eggs, then Raphael may buy back extra eggs for $200 each if he believes he can find them a good home.
• Female prices are as follows: $300 to breed a Common female, $600 for Uncommon, and $850 for Rare, and the contractor will get one free egg from the clutch. Other eggs the client wishes to have will be full priced. Any leftover eggs will remain with Raphael.
• If a client wishes to petition an egg from two of Raphael's Pokemon, then the breeding cost is $800. The client will get one free egg from the clutch, but will pay full price for any additional eggs.

Professor Cypress had heard of a couple of more ranches opening and she figured she may as well check on them while also getting a few more eggs for starter Pokemon. One such shop she visited was for the ranch Highland Fields, boasting a specialty is some hard-hitting types. The professor was certain that a few gym challengers, maybe some trainers with ranger ambitions, would enjoy having on their side.

Looking at the list of available Pokemon, the professor figured that trying for a Charmander egg at the very least would be a popular choice.

There was a lady in his shop.

Raphael cleared his throat as he got back to the front, not really expecting any visitors today despite having his open sign hanging on the door. "Hi. Name's Raphael. How can I help you?"

He didn't have much to offer, really, but if the lady wanted to petition for a clutch, he was game.

The man in charge appeared and Professor Cypress smiled.

"How are you?" she asked as a greeting. "I'm Professor Cypress. I was curious if I could petition a clutch from two of your Pokemon in the hopes of getting an egg or two for potential starter Pokemon for new trainers."

Taking another look at the list, she said, "I was hoping for a Charmander, if your Charizard and Seviper were inclined to make a clutch together?"

"Ah, you're Professor Cypress." Raphael gave her a crooked smile. "It's your fault the original Gaia Ranch closed up to come here, huh?"

He was teasing, but was also acutely aware that this woman -- no doubt esteemed in the Ascua region -- didn't know him at all. Trying to save some face, he said, "It's nice to meet you."

The professor requested a clutch from two of his own Pokemon, confessing that she at least hoped to get a Charmander out of the clutch to raise as a starter Pokemon. Raphael nodded and said, "That would be $800 for the clutch. One free egg goes to you, but any others you may want will be full priced. Sound good?"

Professor Cypress was a little taken aback by the young man's words regarding the original Gaia Island. "Er, well... I suppose," she said slowly. He did mention that it was nice to meet her, and she replied, "Likewise... I do apologize for the original Gaia Ranch's closure..."

Regardless, Raphael seemed casual as they continued the business transaction and Professor Cypress thanked him. "I appreciate it. Here's my card for when the clutch is set and should you need anything else. I'm always happy to help."

Yep, Raphael probably messed up that first meeting a little. Of course, the professor didn't really know that he was half-teasing when he spoke about the original Gaia Ranch closing.

"Don't worry about it," he said in response to the professor's apology, giving her a small smile. Hopefully, that would appease her somewhat but, otherwise, there wasn't really anything else he could do.

"Thank you," Raphael said in return to Professor Cypress giving her card. "I appreciate the business and look forward to seeing you again, Professor."
