Happiness Factor The Happiness Factor is practiced on this site and determines whether or not certain Pokemon evolve and how the Pokemon perceive their trainers. - The Happiness Factor is based on a simple system of 150 points with five stages.
- A Pokemon with 0-30 points hates its trainer.
- A Pokemon with 31-60 points means it dislikes its trainer.
- A Pokemon with 61-90 points means the Pokemon is neutral towards its trainer.
- A Pokemon with 91-120 points the Pokemon likes its trainer.
- A Pokemon with 121-150 points means the Pokemon loves its trainer.
- Caught Pokemon will have varying degrees of Happiness based on their personalities. More bubbly, optimistic Pokemon will be more friendly towards their new trainers than angrier Pokemon.
- Pokemon caught in Friend and Luxury balls will at least be in the neutral range (if not the likes range) of Happiness, depending on personality.
- As a general rule, the majority of starter and newly-hatched Pokemon will be in the neutral range for Happiness.
- A Pokemon will naturally gain Happiness points if it is in the trainer's party or on their ranch while the trainer is home:
- The Pokemon will gain one Happiness point for every five IC posts while it is in the trainer's party with at least 1 HP.
- If the Pokemon is holding a Soothe Bell, it will gain two points as opposed to one, cutting the time in half.
- Already fainted Pokemon, Pokemon stored in the PC, or Pokemon on their ranch while the trainer is away will not lose or gain Happiness points.
- Gaining a level will grant the Pokemon three points.
- On the other hand, if the Pokemon faints or is given bitter medicine, it will lose ten points.
Although it is the member's responsibility to keep track of the happiness points, the admin will still help keep track of it all, especially since we may randomly award or take away points depending on how the trainer treats the Pokemon. We recommend dating when the character obtained the Pokemon in his/her party or keeping track of the number of IC-posts the Pokemon is there in the IC-posts themselves.
