Your first character on this board should be a beginner:
- Once his/her bio is accepted, every character begins with a sum of $5000. This money is used to help the ranchers, gym challengers, and coordinators begin their journeys.
- Ranchers will use that money to open their new ranch for the price of $1000 for their first acre. They will begin their new lives on Gaia Island at the Main Office in the Central Port.
- Gym Challengers and Coordinators will begin their own journeys at the Greenberry Town lab to get a starter Pokemon.
- Likewise, Rangers and Researchers may also receive a starter Pokemon from Greenberry Labs. Rangers will then navigate to the Normal Rank Ranger Station in Greenberry Woods, while Researchers will begin their first assignments at the Research Facilities.
- If it makes sense story-wise for your beginner to have a starting partner Pokemon (such as receiving the Pokemon partner as a gift from his/her parents), the starter Pokemon must be level 5 and can only be in the Common or Uncommon rarity class -- this Pokemon may have one Egg Move, but no shinies or Hidden Abilities. Please note that characters that already have a starting partner Pokemon would not be eligible for a starter from Greenberry Labs, and Ranchers would pay the standard $250 import fee for their partner.
- No matter what career path they've chosen, all characters can and will use the Outlet in the navigation bar and the various Pokemarts around Ascua for whatever they need. The amount characters spend will be deducted from the account.
- If you wish, your next characters can get a jump-start in their career path. Here are a few guidelines should you wish for your character to be advanced:
- Ranchers are allowed to import ready-to-breed Pokemon (such as Pokemon from their old trainer or coordinator days) into their new ranch for a price. The price of each import Pokemon is $250, and ranchers can import up to 10 Pokemon -- filling one acre -- onto their ranches. If ranchers import 0-3 Pokemon, they may receive two random Pokemon to help start their careers. If 4-6 Pokemon are imported, they may receive one random Pokemon. If they import more than 6 Pokemon, they will not receive a random Pokemon. The gift Pokemon may be declined, if the rancher wishes. Any other Pokemon that come into the ranch are to be bred, caught, bought from other ranches, or played by other members.
- Gym Challengers may buy the first few badges, which enables them to have a pre-made party of Pokemon of up to six Pokemon. Each badge is $1000, and a gym challenger can buy up to 3.
- Coordinators may buy the first few ribbons, which also enables them to start off with a pre-made party of Pokemon of up to six Pokemon. Each ribbon is $1000, and a coordinator can buy up to 2.
- Rangers may be bumped up to Copper Rank, which also enables them to start off with a pre-made party of Pokemon of up to four Pokemon. The cost of starting at Copper Rank is $1500.
- Researchers may be bumped up to Third Assistant, which also enables them to start off with a pre-made party of Pokemon of up to four Pokemon. The cost of starting at Third Assistant is $1500.
- No matter what the character class, no pre-made party Pokemon for can be higher than level 30 -- the only exception is if a rancher wishes to pay for 3 acres ($2000 as opposed to $1000) immediately for a level cap of 40 for their ranch. Only one pre-made Pokemon per party may be from the list of rare Pokemon, and no shinies. Any character that starts with a party of Pokemon is not eligible for starter Pokemon from Greenberry Town's lab.
- As always, if there are any questions, please PM a staff member.
