Contests
Coordinators choose to compete in contests as opposed to the Pokemon Gym Challenge. Instead of eight Pokemon League Gyms, Coordinators travel the region to visit the six Contest Halls. The Grand Festival is to Coordinators as the Pokemon League is to Trainers.
- Each location frequently holds several contests of different themes, as well as having their own restrictions or favorites concerning Pokemon.
- While characters can compete in as many contests as they want, the Grand Festival only looks to see if a coordinator has a ribbon from each different location.

- Each contest can have four contestants competing at once, whether the contestants be one member's character and the other three NPCs or all four contestants being member-driven characters. The winner of each contest will earn one of the city's ribbons, while the first runner-up will receive a small prize.
- There will be two rounds in each contest: the Appeal round and the Battle round.
- The Appeal round will be very similar to the games in where the coordinator will have his/her Pokemon perform up to four moves for the admin-controlled judges. A member will have one post for his/her/their Appeal.
- The Battle round will pit two coordinators' Pokemon against each other where they will have to try to knock their opponent's Pokemon's HP as low as possible while still making their own Pokemon look good. The Battle round will take as many posts as necessary. There will be two battles in the Battle round; if a battle is just between two NPC characters, then a brief description will be written before a winner of the battle is determined.
- Please note that Pokemon will not faint after a Contest Battle. Their HP will set itself to 1 when it is "unable to battle," and thus ending the match.
- Even if a trainer loses the battle, there is still a chance for him/her to win the Contest.

- Contests are based on points. At the start of a contest, competitors are originally given 10 points (if the Pokemon is shiny, the judges may grant them an extra point or two automatically). During the Appeal round, competitors can earn up to 10 more points, bringing the highest total of points one can have equal 20. During the Battle round, points will be deducted when a Coordinator's Pokemon is hit by an opponent's attack, an attack fails, or when the opponent's Pokemon uses the Coordinator's attack to its own advantage. The coordinator with the most points after both rounds wins the Contest.
- Pokemon can also be given Pokeblocks made out of berries and created from the coordinator's Pokeblock kit to help improve its condition for the Appeal round. Pokemon can have a total of five condition stars, and they get a star from five Pokeblock candies -- therefore, a Pokemon must eat 25 Pokeblocks in order to have the full five condition stars. Each star a Pokemon has grants it an automatic point in the Appeal round. However, a Pokemon may only eat one Pokeblock per thread it is in (we don't want them to be too full, now do we?).
- Each Pokeblock given gives a slim chance of the Pokemon turning shiny, with the percentage increasing for every star they have. Please note that it is never a guarantee that a Pokemon will turn shiny after being fed the maximum amount of Pokeblocks.

- The most important aspect of all this means that a member will have to be as descriptive and creative as possible when writing his/her contest posts. Use your imagination and logic when writing the posts; there is little to no creative limit besides the surrounding area or if the admin in charge of the contest put up any sort of restrictions. The admin will do their best to be as fair as possible.
If there are any questions, please PM an admin.
